What does the job look like?
An exciting opportunity is available for a Service Advisor – Triage to join our Laverton North Service Centre. If you are a qualified Diesel Mechanic ready to step off the tools, this is your chance to leverage your expertise and become a subject matter expert at the forefront of our national support team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our drivers across the country by diagnosing, triaging, and resolving mechanical issues swiftly and efficiently – all by phone. Utilise your in-depth technical knowledge, advanced vehicle telematics, and fleet management software to ensure the safety of our people, fleet integrity, and timely vehicle repair responses.
Key areas:

Triage breakdowns nationally, using your subject matter expertise to diagnose root causes, determine necessary repairs, and prioritise responses.

Monitor vehicle telematics to assist in timely and accurate vehicle repairs.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with drivers, Linfox Service Centres, and vendors to drive corrective repair actions.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate maintenance and repairs with nationwide Linfox Service Centres and vendors.

You can demonstrate:

Mechanical trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is essential.

In-depth knowledge and subject matter expertise in heavy vehicle systems, mechanics, and electronics.

Familiarity with heavy vehicle telematics systems is highly regarded.

Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word); experience with SAP is highly regarded.

Flexibility to work a rotating roster (fortnightly): 5am–1pm and 10am–8pm.
