What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is on the lookout for a Customer Service Officer based in Acacia Ridge QLD. The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Officer is to ensure accurate and timely processing of data to complete in the Linfox booking systems. The Customer Service Officer will liaise, assist and communicate proactively and effectively with customer, operations and administration team. This role will be on day shift between 6am to 4pm (flexible) and we are also open to job share applicants that are only available for part time hours. Key Areas:

  • Take customer bookings and generate booking and manifest numbers.
  • Ensure that all information related to bookings is recorded accurately, including customer charge accounts, connote numbers, manifest numbers, customer reference numbers. 
  • Assist in tracking customer bookings to point of delivery and advise operations staff and / or customers if delays or problems are anticipated.
  • Follow up and resolve customer and vendor queries in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Liaise with Fleet Controllers regarding bookings and customer requirements.
  • Refer all major customer complaints to operations for resolution.
  • Liaise with Accounts Receivable to ensure customer accounts are set-up correctly and accounts payable for vendor queries.
  • Other administrative tasks and support as required by the management team.
  • Behave consistently with Linfox corporate values in all dealings with internal and external.

Are you the one?

You will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for building customer relationships and finding solvable ways to gain revenue. You can demonstrate:

  • Min 2 years’ experience in a logistics background is highly desirable.
  • Rail or road based work history is highly regarded.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people – internal/external
  • Outstanding organisational and planning abilities
