As a Transport Solutions Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transport by designing and implementing innovative, cost-effective, and compliant transport solutions across our extensive network.

Reporting to the Transport Solutions Manager, you will support business development and continuous improvement projects by analysing complex transport data, developing network models, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our fleet and network design support safe, efficient, and sustainable operations in line with NHVL and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and deliver solution design for projects including RFP responses and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse large transport datasets to uncover opportunities for optimisation.
  • Design network models using advanced simulation and modelling tools.
  • Apply your knowledge of Linfox fleet capabilities, routes, and NHVL compliance.
  • Engage with stakeholders across commercial, operational, and technical teams to ensure alignment of solutions.
  • Produce cost models, process maps, DILO studies, and other supporting documentation.
  • Present solution designs and their benefits clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
  • Monitor implemented solutions and recommend adjustments to improve performance.

Are you the one?

We’re looking for an innovative and data-driven transport professional with a deep understanding of logistics networks, an eye for detail, and a passion for driving operational improvement. You’ll have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Experience in transport/logistics network design, modelling, or business improvement.
  • Strong understanding of fleet capabilities, route planning, NHVL, and CoR.
  • Proficiency in network modelling tools and transport analysis.
  • Proven ability to communicate and present solutions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience developing costings and resource models.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with transport or warehouse modelling tools desirable.
  • A degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business or a related field (preferred).
