What does the job look like?

As Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Site Manager and lead a team of 6+ direct reports in overseeing the daily operations of our site. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective outcomes, delivering high service standards to our valued customers, and fostering continuous improvement throughout the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Linfox’s Safety Standards across the site
  • Drive compliance with company, customer, and legislative safety obligations
  • Promote growth and profitability through cost management and performance monitoring
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to ensure KPIs and service targets are met
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency strategies
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports to support operational performance

Are you the one?

You’ll bring a proactive mindset and a passion for operations leadership. You’ll also have:

  • Prior experience in transport operations (road/rail)
  • Strong knowledge of business and logistics practices
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Logistics (desirable but not essential)
