As an HR Advisor supporting our Retail team at Somerton NDC, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering frontline HR advice and partnering with site leadership to drive employee relations, workforce management, performance, and compliance. What will you do?

  • Provide timely and practical HR advice to employees and managers, including guidance on employment matters, policy interpretation, and Enterprise Agreement compliance.
  • Partner with and mentor managers on conditions of employment, employee entitlements, and recruitment processes.
  • Support and coach people leaders through the performance and development planning cycle, enhancing the quality of conversations and outcomes.
  • Investigate employee grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters, recommending appropriate actions.
  • Administer employee engagement initiatives, including Reward & Recognition Programs.
  • Analyse HR data (turnover, absenteeism, headcount) to inform decision-making and recommend improvements in workforce management.
  • Champion the LIFT Values in all aspects of site culture, decisions, and actions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that improve engagement, operational efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to The Linfox Way Code of Conduct and all company policies, including WHS Management System and Vision Zero safety standards.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Formal qualifications in Human Resource Management (highly desirable).
  • Previous experience in an HR or coordination role.
  • Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employee relations legislation and best practice.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Impeccable organisational skills, able to multi-task and deliver to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and detail oriented.
  • Capacity to coach, guide, and support others to excel.
  • Ability to energize, inspire, and hold team members accountable.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed.
  • Driver’s license required.
