What does the job look like?

As the Operations Manager at our Botany site, you will oversee end‑to‑end site operations, pooling resources and guiding team leaders to manage demand, workload and priorities set by Linfox and our customer. You will ensure safe, compliant and cost‑effective outcomes, high service standards, and a culture of continuous improvement. Key areas:

  • Lead and embed Linfox Safety Standards, maintain the site risk register, and ensure hazards are identified, evaluated and controlled.
  • Drive compliance with company, customer and legislative obligations; actively participate in internal/external audits.
  • Allocate labour and resources dynamically to meet volume requirements; manage productivity to site targets.
  • Control expenditure in line with weekly plans; coordinate timely repair and maintenance of fleet and infrastructure.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and respond to customer requests promptly; champion continuous improvement and energy‑efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, workforce competence and coaching, and that orders are picked, packed and despatched on time.

We are seeking an accomplished Operations Manager with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams within a dynamic logistics environment, drive operational excellence, cultivate a culture of accountability and inclusion, and apply strategic insight to achieve outstanding results across complex supply chain operations.  If you excel in driving performance and are ready to make a significant impact, we want to hear from you. You can demonstrate: 

  • Experience in business operations with direct staff management.
  • End‑to‑end warehouse knowledge (Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Replenishment, Returns & Despatch).
  • Strong customer service focus and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • WHS awareness and risk management mindset; First Aid qualification advantageous.
  • Ability to streamline processes and improve productivity; SAP/WMS experience desirable.
  • Sound communication, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills with confidence using business systems.
