What does the job look like?

As the End User Compute Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting and maintaining Linfox’s internal users and IT infrastructure. You’ll provide hands-on support for COTS applications, networks, operating systems, and hardware, responding to a variety of technical issues and requests. Your work will ensure optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction across the business.

This role is based out of our office in Willawong in Queensland.

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering timely and effective repairs, as well as training end-users for optimal system use
  • Managing and supporting end-users, service technicians, and technical professionals
  • Handling Service Desk Level 2 incident resolutions and escalations
  • Managing 3rd party service providers for break-fix support
  • Maintaining inventory control of IT equipment and systems
  • Participating in project work and providing VIP end-user support
  • Occasional travel to sites and interstate (with some after-hours work), so you’ll need your own car and a valid driver’s license to get to different locations when required

You’re a resourceful IT professional with a passion for customer service and technical excellence. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and enjoy solving complex problems.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or similar qualification
  • 2–6 years’ experience in Service Desk and end-user support
  • 1–2 years’ IT field support experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems (Windows 10/11, M365), Active Directory, Intune, and SCCM
  • Excellent communication, people management, and relationship skills
  • Experience managing 3rd party service providers and large-scale user issues
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
