What does the job look like?

As a Functional Analyst at Linfox, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting and enhancing our digital transport systems, FoxTrax and the Digital Freight Network (DFN), which help power the movement of essential goods across Australia.

Reporting to the Product Manager – FoxTrax, you’ll provide expert systems support to frontline users including drivers, operations teams, and control rooms. You’ll work across both Business-As-Usual (BAU) tasks and project initiatives, analysing issues, identifying trends, and contributing to ongoing system improvements that ensure safe, efficient, and compliant transport operations.

This role is onsite based out of our HQ in Essendon Fields (VIC)

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Resolve incidents and service tickets raised by sites and control rooms.
  • Provide BAU support and system maintenance for FoxTrax and DFN platforms.
  • Partner with vendors to troubleshoot issues and enhance product performance.
  • Analyse user issues and identify system trends to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to digital transport projects and DFN initiatives.
  • Support user training and provide guidance to stakeholders across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and corporate teams to streamline processes and deliver enhancements.
  • Provide after-hours support where required to maintain 24/7 operational coverage.

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused professional who combines strong technical support skills with a solid understanding of transport operations. You’ll bring analytical capability, stakeholder engagement strengths, and a passion for improving how technology supports logistics on the ground.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Experience in customer service, systems support, or transport operations.
  • Exposure to logistics, supply chain or BAU support environments.
  • Familiarity with systems such as FoxTrax (MT Data), SAP TM, ECC, or Blue Yonder (desirable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and resolve technical and user issues.
  • Experience supporting project work and system rollouts is advantageous.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Flexibility to work variable hours to support a 24/7 transport business.
