What does the job look like?

As the Manager Project Delivery, you’ll lead the successful delivery of IT projects across the organisation, ensuring consistent methodology, strong governance, and high‑quality outcomes.Reporting to the Group Manager, Infrastructure Application & Services, you will oversee a team of Project Managers, uplift delivery capability, and drive continuous improvement across Linfox’s technology project portfolio.

You will steward portfolio planning, quality assurance, project financials, and post‑implementation reviews, ensuring every project meets expected standards and supports strategic business outcomes.If you’re a delivery‑focused leader who thrives on structure, collaboration, and uplift, this is your opportunity to shape how Linfox delivers technology change.

This role is onsite based out of our HQ in Essendon Fields (VIC)

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of projects across the IT portfolio.
  • Ensure governance, documentation, and reporting standards are consistently met.
  • Lead project quality assurance activities including health checks and compliance reviews.
  • Own cost estimation practices and validate budgets, forecasts, and resource models.
  • Partner with Finance to maintain accurate project financial governance.
  • Lead and standardise Post‑Implementation Reviews across all projects.
  • Manage and develop a team of Project Managers, including recruitment and performance management.
  • Build and lead the Project Management Community of Practice.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project delivery processes, tools, and frameworks.
  • Manage project management capacity and ensure resources are aligned to demand.
  • Collaborate with senior IT and business stakeholders, including CIO, CFO, GMs, PMO and partners.

We’re looking for an experienced delivery leader with strong project governance capability and a passion for building high‑performing teams. You bring a balance of structure, people leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in Project Delivery, PMO leadership, or similar senior roles.
  • Experience leading and developing Project Managers.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile).
  • High financial literacy and experience with cost estimation and budget management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience improving delivery frameworks, tools, and governance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications; industry certifications highly regarded.
