About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced State Service Manager – Queensland to lead and develop our Service Centres and workshop teams across the state. Reporting to the National Service Manager, this key leadership role is responsible for delivering economical and efficient fleet equipment solutions that meet the operational requirements of Linfox and our customers.

As the State Service Manager, you will oversee the performance and development of our Queensland workshop teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong financial outcomes, and a culture that prioritises safety, capability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee day‑to‑day management of all Queensland Service Centres, ensuring all repairs and maintenance activities comply with Linfox Fleet policies and standards.

· Build and foster successful relationships with internal and external customers through consistent communication and prompt, commercially sound responses to operational issues.

· Drive financial performance across the Queensland Service Centres, including ownership of budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation.

· Ensure all team members receive appropriate technical training, coaching, and mentoring, with clear succession plans established for the leadership team.

· Lead and participate in WHS processes including hazard identification, risk assessments, toolbox meetings, workplace inspections, and routine safety reporting.

· Uphold and champion the Linfox Vision ZERO safety culture, ensuring safe practices remain a daily focus across all operations.

· Promote and embed the Linfox LIFT values throughout the state’s operational culture.

About You

You’re a proactive, people‑focused leader with strong technical knowledge and a demonstrated ability to manage teams, workshop operations, and customer relationships. Your commercial mindset, commitment to safety, and ability to influence others help you deliver exceptional outcomes. Ideally, you will bring:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a heavy vehicle workshop operations management role.

· A Heavy Diesel – Road Transport trade certificate (essential), with tertiary qualifications highly regarded.

· Strong strategic planning, reporting, data analysis, and problem‑solving capabilities.

· Demonstrated experience managing departmental P&L budgets and financial systems.

· Extensive experience managing site safety operations, incident investigations, and associated corrective actions.

· Excellent customer service focus, with strong written, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively across all organisational levels.

· High level of computer literacy, particularly in SAP and the Microsoft Office suite.
