What does the job look like?
As Shift Manager – Planning, you will work a 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off roster from 05:00–17:00, managing planning and rostering activities at the ADC site. Based onsite, you will work closely with operations, drivers, customer, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth daily execution. You will create and adjust load plans and labour rosters in response to changing operational needs. This role is key to maintaining efficiency, safety, and on‑time delivery outcomes at site level. Key areas:
- Manage daily planning and rostering activities at the ADC site
- Create and adjust load plans to meet operational and delivery requirements
- Build and maintain labour rosters using company and contractor resources
- Respond to real‑time operational changes and resolve issues as they arise
- Communicate effectively with site operations, drivers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure all planning activities meet safety, compliance, and CoR requirements

- Experience creating and adjusting daily load plans and labour rosters in a transport or logistics operation
- Strong working knowledge of NSW geography, including metro and regional store delivery patterns
- Ability to manage planning changes during live operations
- Experience working closely with site operations, drivers, and planners to resolve daily issues
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and compliance requirements within transport operations
- Confidence working with planning and scheduling systems in a time‑critical environment.
