What does the job look like?

As the Rates Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring all rates‑related data across the Linfox Group is accurately maintained and governed. You will support annual remuneration reviews, EBA adjustments, audits, and ongoing rate maintenance, working closely with Payroll, Workplace Relations, HR, and ADIT teams.

This role provides critical insight into rates structures, enabling the business to maintain accurate, historical, and real‑time views of remuneration data while ensuring compliance and governance standards are met.

This is a full-time, fixed term role until 31st of March 2027, based on site at Linfox HQ in Essendon Fields (VIC).

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining accurate rates data across SAP and related systems
  • Supporting annual remuneration reviews and EBA‑driven rate changes
  • Conducting audits on rates, superannuation, allowances, and backpay
  • Supporting payroll governance, controls, and compliance activities
  • Working with HR, Workplace Relations, and Payroll to manage rate changes
  • Developing and documenting processes, procedures, and user guidelines
  • Supporting testing, simulations, and deployment of rate‑related system changes
  • Acting as the first point of contact for rate structure queries
  • Supporting agency rate updates and purchase order processes
  • Providing reporting and insights on rates and remuneration data

Are you the one?

You will have experience working in a complex payroll or data environment, with strong attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and governance. You will be comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and systems, and confident analysing, auditing, and interpreting rates and remuneration data to support business outcomes.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Experience in SAP HR/Payroll data maintenance
  • Experience managing rates in a complex industrial or EBA environment
  • Strong auditing, data analysis, and problem‑solving skills
  • Advanced Excel capability and experience with reporting tools
  • Experience supporting remuneration reviews and backpay calculations
  • Strong documentation and process development skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Competencies:

  • Conceptual understanding of important QA tools and principles, including aspects of non-functional testing.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Test Development Lifecycle, and Waterfall & Iterative Model.
  • Regular attendance and involvement in the QA industry to keep abreast of the latest technologies, methodologies, challenges, and issues facing QA and testing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance focus
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capability
  • Ability to interpret legislation and apply governance controls
  • Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset and customer‑focused approach
