Our Queensland Mining Services business continues to invest in its people, fleet and operational capability to support long-term customer partnerships and sustainable growth.
We are seeking a State Operations Manager – Mining Services to provide strategic and operational leadership across our Queensland operations. Based in Rockhampton, this role is responsible for delivering safe, compliant and profitable outcomes across a diverse portfolio of mining services contracts.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead operational teams across multiple sites and customer environments, ensuring excellence in safety, service delivery, financial performance and customer relationships. You will work closely with customers, commercial and support teams to implement strategy, drive continuous improvement and support business growth across the state.
Key areas include:
- Leading a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with WHS, Chain of Responsibility and customer requirements
- Delivering operational excellence across Mining Services contracts, aligned to business and strategic plans
- Full accountability for financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, cost control and operational efficiency
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, leading business reviews and supporting growth initiatives
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across operations and customer sites
- Leading, developing and engaging high-performing operational leadership teams across geographically dispersed locations

This is a senior operational leadership role requiring a proven leader with experience in mining services, transport or complex operational environments. You are commercially astute, safety-focused and thrive in fast-paced, multi-site operations.
You can demonstrate:
- Strong leadership capability with experience leading large, geographically diverse teams
- Proven experience managing operational performance, budgets and P&L outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted customer relationships
- A continuous improvement mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience operating in highly regulated environments with a strong safety and compliance focus
