What does the job look like?

Join our Retail team as a Transport Allocator for Woolworths Lineage based in Laverton North. In this hands-on role, you’ll manage allocations, route planning, and dispatching metropolitan deliveries to ensure smooth and efficient shift operations. You will work 12‑hour shifts starting at 4:00 AM and finishing at 4:00 PM, operating on a bi‑weekly rotating roster.

· Week 1: Monday and Tuesday ON, Wednesday and Thursday OFF, Friday to Sunday ON

· Week 2: Monday and Tuesday OFF, Wednesday and Thursday ON, Friday to Sunday OFF

• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions while fostering positive relationships
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to run sheets, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements
• Ensure regular communication with customers, keeping them well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or any changes that may impact them
• Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times

Are you the one?

We're looking for motivated individuals interested in transport operations, including scheduling and allocation. Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate. You can demonstrate:

• Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocation is highly regarded, but not essential – a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills – experience with TMS is highly regarded
• Strong geographical knowledge of Melbourne metro and surrounding areas
• Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure, remaining organised and highly efficient
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
