What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is current looking for an experienced, motivated and capable National Operations Manager B&C based in either Chullora NSW or West Melbourne VIC. This role is responsible for end-to-end performance of Linfox’s Building & Construction portfolio, with accountability for safety, compliance, financial outcomes and customer service. This is a national leadership role focused on operational excellence, stakeholder engagement and sustainable business growth. Key areas:

  • Lead the national Building & Construction operation to deliver strong safety, compliance, financial and customer outcomes.
  • Deliver Vision Zero initiatives across all Building & Construction operations nationally.
  • Manage customer contracts and KPIs, ensuring contractual obligations are fully met.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing customers to grow share of business.
  • Identify and implement operational improvement initiatives that deliver cost efficiencies.
  • Set operating budgets with the National Road Manager and lead teams to deliver against plan.

Are you the one?

  • At least five years’ operational experience in logistics and transport environments.
  • Experience leading multi-site operations with multiple direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting and financial performance.
  • Sound working knowledge of industrial instruments and IR matters, including union engagement.
  • Proven ability to grow existing customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, Load Restraint and WHS/OHS legislative requirements.
