What does the job look like?

The WS Portfolio & Delivery Manager is a key leadership role within the Warehouse Solutions team, responsible for owning the end‑to‑end Warehouse Solutions portfolio, capacity planning, and delivery roadmap.

Reporting to the Group Manager – Warehouse and Corporate Systems, this role acts as the conduit between business unit customers, business engagement, project management, and technology teams. You will manage demand intake, control workflow into the team, and provide line leadership to delivery team members—ensuring initiatives are prioritised, governed, and delivered effectively.

This is a customer‑facing role that plays a vital part in enabling our warehouse operations through strong technology delivery and stakeholder engagement.

This is a fulltime, permanent role based in Essendon Fields (VIC)

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Construction and ongoing management of the Warehouse Solutions IT portfolio plan
  • Ownership of the capacity and work plan for the Warehouse Solutions delivery team
  • Managing demand intake, prioritisation, and workflow control
  • Requirements gathering and change request coordination
  • RFP coordination and engagement with vendors and partners
  • Providing clear status reporting and insights through data analysis
  • Building strong partnerships across Business Units, Site teams, and Technology functions
  • Line management, coaching, and development of delivery team members
  • Ensuring delivery discipline, governance, and alignment to business outcomes

Are you the one?

You’re a confident delivery leader who enjoys operating across both strategic and hands‑on responsibilities. You’re comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, balancing competing priorities, and leading teams through complex delivery environments.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Degree qualification in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in IT delivery and portfolio management
  • Experience delivering supply chain or warehouse systems
  • Strong understanding of IT portfolio management and service delivery
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations or 3PL environments (highly regarded)
  • Strong people leadership capability, including coaching and mentoring
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain governance while solving problems creatively
  • ITIL certification (preferred)
