Reporting into senior leadership, the National Security Manager provides strategic and operational oversight of security activities across Australia and New Zealand, leading a team of state‑based security representatives. The role partners closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team, providing insight on security trends, incident risk, and mitigation strategies, and delivers regular reporting to the CEO and Business Unit Presidents.

You will act as the national escalation point for high‑impact security incidents and critical matters requiring senior and law enforcement engagement. While most investigations are managed by state representatives, you may attend sites where incidents are significant or sensitive.

This role can be based at any Linfox state head office. Regular national and New Zealand travel is required to support teams across all states/regions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing five direct reports across Australia and New Zealand
  • Overseeing critical incident management and business continuity considerations
  • Preparing executive‑level security reporting and escalation briefings
  • Managing law enforcement and external stakeholder relationships
  • Providing oversight of investigations, audits, and security initiatives
  • Driving continuous improvement and a values‑led security culture

About You:

This opportunity suits a senior security leader with experience in law enforcement or large‑scale corporate security, who is comfortable operating at executive level. You bring sound judgement, strong leadership capability, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders in high‑pressure environments.

You can demonstrate:

  • Strong expertise across security, risk, and resilience in a large organisation
  • Experience in critical incident management and investigations oversight
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to align security outcomes to business needs
  • Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

What's in it for me?

  • 12 weeks paid parental leave and return to work bonus for eligible employees
  • Career development opportunities and mentoring programs
  • Access to a range of benefits across dining and adventure, travel and health and well-being
  • The chance to work in a high-performing team where your contributions truly make an impact
