What does the job look like?

We’re seeking a part-time, mazimum-term Management Accountant to join our Finance team supporting CH&G. This role offers the opportunity to further develop your accounting and commercial finance experience while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

You'll play a key role in managing fixed assets, stocktakes, and assets under construction (AUC), while contributing financial insights that support operational and business performance.

This role is onsite based out of our HQ in Essendon Fields (VIC)

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage Assets Under Construction (AUC), including monitoring spend across multiple projects and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Support project financial performance by tracking costs, timelines, and capitalisation activity.
  • Coordinate and participate in stocktake activities across the business.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including IT and operational assets.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Partner with and provide support to other Management Accountants within the team as required.

About You:

You are a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively and building strong stakeholder relationships. You are comfortable balancing multiple priorities, enjoy solving problems, and are looking to expand your experience within a large and diverse organisation.

You can demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting.
  • CA/CPA qualification or progress towards completion.
  • 1–3 years' accounting or finance experience.
  • A sound understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with finance systems and enterprise accounting software (SAP desirable).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to analyse large datasets and present meaningful financial insights.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders across the business.
