What does the job look like?

As Compliance Manager VIC/SA/WA, you will play a critical role in ensuring transport operations comply with Linfox policies, Chain of Responsibility obligations, and state and federal regulatory requirements, including Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). Working closely with operational leaders and subcontractors, you will drive compliance outcomes through auditing, coaching, training, monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives across the network.

Key areas:

  • Monitor compliance with NHVAS, Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), Standard Hours and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements.
  • Deliver audits, assessments and corrective action activities to maintain operational compliance standards.
  • Support sites to develop and maintain training plans that meet compliance and competency requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of quarterly compliance reporting, audit documentation and compliance records.
  • Advise operational teams and subcontractors on legislative obligations, company procedures and compliance best practice.
  • Improve compliance awareness, processes and performance across maintenance, mass management, fatigue management and accreditation requirements  in line with COR obligations.

Are you the one?

You are an experienced transport compliance professional with a strong understanding of heavy vehicle legislation, Chain of Responsibility obligations and safety management systems. You thrive in operational environments and can influence site teams and subcontractors to achieve consistent compliance outcomes.

You can demonstrate:

  • Minimum five years' experience in a transport compliance or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVNL, NHVR requirements, NHVAS, Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation.
  • Certificate in Administering a Fatigue Risk Management System (TLIF0006) or equivalent.
  • Auditing certification or willingness to undertake auditing training.
  • Experience investigating incidents and supporting corrective action processes.
  • Understanding of mass management, maintenance management and safe food accreditation requirements.
