What does the job look like?

As the Customer Service Coordinator, you will lead and support a team of Customer Service Officers (CSO) to deliver outstanding service outcomes across multiple customer contracts. You will coordinate daily operations, manage escalations, and ensure customer commitments, compliance requirements, and performance targets are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving team performance, continuous improvement, and seamless service delivery. Key areas:

  • Lead, coach and develop the CSO team to deliver exceptional customer service and operational results
  • Coordinate resources to ensure customer requests are actioned within agreed timeframes.
  • Monitor KPIs and service levels, proactively addressing performance gaps and operational risks.
  • Manage escalated customer issues, service disruptions and critical freight movements
  • Build strong relationships with customers, operations teams and key stakeholders
  • Drive compliance, process improvement and accurate reporting

You are a proactive and people-focused leader who can motivate a team, manage priorities, and remain calm under pressure. With strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and a solution-focused approach, you're able to balance operational demands while maintaining high standards of service, accuracy, and compliance. You can demonstrate:

  • Experience providing high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • The ability to lead, coach and support a team to achieve service and performance goals
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and follow-through
  • Intermediate computer skills across Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook
