What does the job look like?

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, this role is responsible for leading both warehouse and transport operations to deliver safe, efficient and cost-effective outcomes. You will drive operational performance through a strong focus on safety, customer service, continuous improvement and team leadership while partnering closely with customers to achieve and exceed service expectations. This role will be a permanent position and based in Huntingwood. Key areas:

  • Lead safe and compliant warehouse and transport operations in line with Linfox standards and legislative requirements.
  • Deliver customer service outcomes and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage operational performance to meet service, cost, profitability and KPI targets.
  • Develop, coach and support team members to achieve operational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity and customer outcomes.
  • Coordinate reporting, incident management and compliance activities across the site.

Are you the one?

We're looking for an experienced operations leader with a strong background in transport operations and a passion for safety, customer service and continuous improvement. You thrive in fast-paced environments, lead high-performing teams and understand the financial drivers that influence operational success. You can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in transport operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial drivers, costs and operational performance measures.
  • Process-driven, analytical and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Current valid driver's licence and completed secondary or tertiary education.
