What does the job look like?

We are seeking a commercially focused Finance Partner to join our Group Accounting team based at Essendon Fields. Partnering closely with senior leaders across Human Resources, Property Management & Sustainability, and Corporate Services, you'll provide critical financial insights and analysis that support strategic decision-making and business performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a broad corporate portfolio while influencing investment decisions, budgeting outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Partner with senior corporate leaders to provide financial and commercial advice that supports business objectives.
  • Deliver monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic planning activities.
  • Develop business cases and ROI models to support investment and operational decisions.
  • Manage HR recharge processes and monitor shared services expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Prepare and review journals, accruals, provisions and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support statutory reporting, audit requirements and finance process improvement initiatives.

Are you the one?

You are an experienced accounting & finance professional who thrives in a business partnering environment and enjoys translating complex financial data into meaningful business insights. You bring a consultative mindset, strong stakeholder engagement capability and a passion for driving business performance.

You can demonstrate:

  • CA or CPA qualification with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or similar.
  • Experience in Finance Business Partnering, Management Accounting or a similar corporate finance role.
  • Strong capability in financial analysis, forecasting and business case evaluation.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders across a complex organisation.
  • Experience within logistics, supply chain or other highly transactional environments is highly regarded and not essential.
  • A track record of identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives that enhance business outcomes.
