What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is looking for a passionate and dedicated Operations Supervisor to join our Rail team based in West Melbourne VIC. This is an opportunity for an established supply chain professional to develop their career in a role that is responsible for transport operations, labour management and planning, road compliance plus operational and customer service performance. This is a full-time opportunity, shift times will be 12pm – 9pm working Monday to Friday.  Key areas:

  • Promoting a safety-first culture ensuring commitment to safety, chain of responsibility and compliance with licensing protocols
  • Provide transport operational oversight, ensuring appropriate operational KPI’s are developed and achieved so that service delivery meets contractual requirements
  • Ensuring an effective handover is carried out between operational teams onsite
  • Identifying, evaluating and addressing transport risks focused on continuous improvement
  • Effective management and development of direct reports and operational teams
  • Partnership approach to customer relationships facilitating organic growth 
  • Ensure that the systems and resources available are fully utilised to provide confidence to our customers

Are you the one?

  • Prior experience within the Rail industry highly regarded
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement with an ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to confidently lead, drive outcomes and develop diverse high-performance teams
  • Understanding of financial drivers, cost control and operational budgeting
  • Strong work ethic with a passion for transport/logistics and commitment to continuous improvement
