What does the job look like?

As a Container Fleet Coordinator located in Acacia Ridge QLD, you will manage the container fleet assets, maintenance services and associated equipment required for freight distribution in a rail based freight forwarding business.  This position is currently a 12 month fixed-term opportunity required on site from Monday to Friday 7am-3pm. You will identify and investigate problems and implement solutions related to container planning and management that meet company guidelines, customer requirements and service provider objectives. Key areas:

  • Ensure container fleet is managed to provide safe, cost effective and timely delivery of goods/materials and equipment.
  • Manage the fleet in line with agreed plans, including coordination with technical staff and service providers to remain within budget.
  • Provide recommendations and priorities for container replacement and repair requirements for each new financial year (CAPEX).
  • Develop & implement utilisation reports to optimise use of assets.
  • Monitor and ensure that performance and reliability of fleet meets or exceeds all requirements of safety standards include technical specifications for container purchasing suit operational requirements.
  • Attend to/co-ordinate resolution of issues that may occur for temperature controlled assets during shift
  • Maintain contact with key stakeholders to record actions items for all depots.
  • Investigate each site to ensure container requirements have been achieved against forecasted plan
