What does the job look like?

As the Transport Optimisation Analyst you will be partnering with the Linfox business units to support the development and implementation of transport focused supply chain solutions through RFP’s, transformation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work directly with both the broader Analytics Design Solutions team and business unit stakeholders to ensure that the Transport Analytics Team deliver high quality modelling outputs to support Linfox’s operational and strategic direction. Other duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Support the expansion of business tenders and growth opportunities through comprehensive analysis, solution design, modelling, and process alignment.
  • Analyse and report on existing operations to develop and implement innovative, customer-focused supply chain solutions.
  • Enhance customer retention and increase market share through targeted business improvements.
  • Ensure alignment of operational and systems processes through effective business analysis, fostering efficiency and coherence across the organization.

Are you the one?

You will have previous experience in a complex environment, preferably with some exposure to transport operations, warehouse and commercial disciplines. You will be able to apply your operational experience and process large data sets to develop solutions and recommendations to key stakeholders. Coupled with a curious nature with attention to detail, you will be able to uncover valuable insights for the business to deliver improvement or strategic opportunities.  

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Degree qualifications in Engineering, IT, Business, or similar disciplines.   
  • Advanced Excel and PowerQuery with an ability to develop models
  • Knowledge of supply chain industry, strategic drivers, economics, and innovation is highly desirable.
  • Ability to convey complex information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
