What does the job look like?

The AM Shift Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations, managing the transport of coal as per the contract requirements. Responsibilities include shift planning and management of shift change on the AM shift, incident response and management, whilst upholding Linfox values at all times.   This is an integral role requiring an effective people leader and coach with experience in transport operations. Key areas:

  • Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times
  • Building an open, effective and positive relationship with our customer
  • Manage the day-to-day operations ensuring efficient truck and driver utilisation
  • Ensuring drivers are up to date with company policies and procedures through toolbox meetings, inductions, ongoing assessment, and training
  • Taking responsibility for all compliance including vehicle maintenance requirements, driver training records and auditing
  • Responding to customer feedback and complaints in an efficient manner

Are you the one?

You are driven, can think outside the box and enjoy working in a challenging and dynamic environment. You can demonstrate:

  • Available to work a 4 on 4 off roster from 5am to 5pm
  • Previous experience within fleet and driver management
  • Direct experience with dangerous goods or bulk liquid or bulk dry goods operations or specialist freight handling
  • Knowledge of delivery windows and transport allocations
  • Organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience using Transport Management Systems essential
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge
