What does the job look like?

Our Fleet & Procurement business is seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Officer to join their team based at our Global Head Office in Essendon Fields.

Reporting to the Insurance Claims Manager, you will play an instrumental role in managing end to end processes of insurance claims. This includes, from the initial claim lodgement, through to settlement. This also is including sourcing claim recovery - where applicable and providing claim advice to business partners.

Our primary areas of claims are approx. 90% motor claims and the remaining 10% either Marine (customer goods), Public Liability or Property Damage.

This role will see you liaising with several key internal stakeholders including Linfox Workshops, Site/Branch Managers, Operations Staff as well as external insurance companies, insurance brokers, repairers and third parties. Key areas:

  • Accurate, timely and pro-active actioning, upload and management of claims, insurance related tasks and other duties as required
  • Management of end-to-end claims within the portfolio to efficient and successful completion
  • Communicate and co-ordinate effectively between stakeholders, business partners and third parties
  • Provide insurance and claim advice and support to stakeholders and business partners

Are you the one?

You have the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and have a high attention to detail. You have exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to negotiate successful outcomes to achieve positive results. You can demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Motor Vehicle Claims, Claim Recoveries, or Insurance Industry
  • Have moderate to advanced skills with full Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP would be highly regarded
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Results orientated, and able to work under pressure
