What does the job look like?

Based on site in our Essendon Fields location, as a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in attracting and securing the best trade qualified professionals for our Fleet and Procurement function, including diesel mechanics, trades assistants, site managers and other positions. Your extensive knowledge of recruitment best practices will be invaluable as you partner with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and develop targeted strategies to build organisational capability and culture to fuel our growth. Key areas:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing insights, guidance, and market intelligence to drive informed recruitment decisions
  • Partner with hiring managers to uncover their talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Source, screen and conduct comprehensive interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit, ensuring we find the perfect match for each role
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including offer negotiation and onboarding activities.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings to ensure candidates meet Linfox's standards.
  • Utilise various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry partnerships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in talent acquisition.

Are you the one?

No two days are the same in our business, and the role requires agility, resilience, flexibility, pragmatism, customer focus, and a strong work ethic. You are driven by quality and enjoy working in a large organisation, managing the end-to-end recruitment process. You can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in talent acquisition, specifically in blue collar/trade industry or agency focus
  • Proven ability to manage the full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing
  • A passion for delivering exceptional candidate experiences and contributing to a high-performing team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
