What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit is seeking a HC driver to join the team based in Rockhampton, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of various general freight container deliveries to local retail customers. We currently have a permanent full-time position available, working Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm, along with a rotating Saturday shift from 6:00am to 10:00am. Key areas:

• Comply with safety standards, COR requirements, and Vision Zero initiatives while ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
• Safely operate HC vehicles for scheduled runs, delivering single container loads to and from rail terminal/customer sites.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle checks, report issues, and maintain compliance with road safety and transport regulations.
• Adhere to Linfox coupling and uncoupling procedures, ensuring safe handling of equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service, representing Linfox professionally and maintaining clear communication with team and customers.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation, ensuring accurate paperwork and documentation.

• Current and valid HC license.
• History of safe work practices.
• Familiarity with Rockhampton metropolitan and regional areas.
• Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction.
• History of safe work practices & excellent communication.
• Rail experience highly regarded but not essential.
