What does the job look like?

As a Business Intelligence Specialist in the Intermodal team, you’ll play a critical role in turning operational data into meaningful insights that support smarter decision-making and drive performance across our supply chain network.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across business units and head office, developing intuitive dashboards, automated reports, and robust dataflows that power our transport operations. Using tools like Power BI, Excel, and cloud-based platforms, you’ll help shape the future of logistics by embedding data-driven thinking into everyday processes.

Based at Acacia Ridge, QLD, you’ll also support Linfox’s digital transformation initiatives, contributing to projects that improve efficiency, transparency, and customer outcomes.

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop high-quality dataflows, datasets, and dashboards that meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot existing reports and visualisation tools.
• Perform data validation and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Document technical requirements and designs clearly and professionally.
• Deliver analysis and insights that highlight key trends and business opportunities.
• Support the adoption and use of BI tools across teams.
• Keep up to date with best practices and emerging BI technologies.
• Contribute to broader digital transformation projects across the BU.

Are you the one?

We’re looking for a skilled and curious data professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll bring strong technical capability, an analytical mindset, and a desire to help others understand and act on data with confidence.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

• 1-2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or supply chain roles.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with tools such as Power Platform, SAP, or TMS systems.
• Basic scripting ability in Python (desirable).
• Strong problem-solving and data storytelling skills.
• Knowledge of transport or logistics operations (advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
