What does the job look like?

This 6-month fixed term contract is a great opportunity to step into a key safety leadership role. You’ll provide expert WHS advice and hands-on support to help sites implement and maintain the Linfox Corporate Safety Management System. Working closely with operational teams and the National WHS/Compliance Manager, you’ll help drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the Government & Defence Business Unit. The position can be based out of various sites including Moorebank, Richmond, Nowra, or Williamtown, offering flexibility depending on operational needs and candidate location. Key areas:

  • Provide WHS specialist advice and technical support to ensure regional/site operations and activities are
    conducted in compliance with applicable federal and state/territory laws, regulations and the company
    Safety Management System.
  • Support and coach operational managers/supervisors to ensure their individual WHS roles, responsibilities
    and expectations are understood.
  • Establish safety and sustainability plans for regions/sites which support the organisational plan.
  • Undertake risk assessments of more complex tasks and assist the region/sites to develop action plans that
    address identified key risks and to implement appropriate and effective risk controls.
  • Directly support investigations into workplace incidents/accidents to ensure quality and monitor action
    close out to provide assurance.
  • Ensure appropriate compilation, analysis and reporting of workplace injury/ illness statistics.
  • Manage the regional internal WHS audit program and provide advice and support to sites to prepare for
    internal/external audits

With a strong background in multi-site safety leadership, you’ll be confident providing WHS advice and support across fast-paced operational environments. You enjoy working closely with teams to build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance.   • Proven ability to provide WHS advice to operational managers and frontline staff
  • Experienced in conducting workplace incident and accident investigations
  • Strong background in critical risk management and implementing effective controls
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience conducting internal and external WHS audits
  • Experience in a WHS leadership role across multiple sites
