What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit have a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced HC driver to join the team located in Cairns QLD. As a part of this role, you will be required to operate HC vehicles assisting with yard duties including unloading freight from the terminal, pre-loads, transporting our vehicles and trailers to planned services. This is a day shift role, Monday - Friday from 8am - 4pm. Key Areas:

• Driving to Linfox Safety Standards at all times and ensuring that Vision Zero is a daily focus
• Available to work a consistent roster Monday to Friday on day shift plus weekends
• Completing correct load restraints and manual handling techniques.
• Ability to work & communicate effectively with team members, managers & customers on a day-to-day basis
• Good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation

Are you the one?

This is a fantastic opportunity if you have been within the Transport/Logistics industry as a driver and have recently gained your HC licence and looking to further your experience. • Current and valid HC & LF (forklift licence) 
• History of safe work practices
• Familiarity with Cairns metro and surrounding areas
• Responsible manual handling experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
