What does the job look like?

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Retail network through high‑quality commercial and operational analysis. You will provide in‑depth reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and actionable insights to improve performance, efficiency, and competitiveness across the operation.

This role partners closely with operational leaders, finance, and customers to deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting across both financial and non‑financial KPIs. You’ll also design, develop, and continuously improve analytical and financial modelling tools that support contractual and customer reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining KPIs aligned to contractual and customer reporting requirements
  • Coordinating and delivering accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Providing analysis and insights into operational and financial performance
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and customer billing processes
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to influence positive commercial outcomes
  • Analysing site data and management requirements to support business objectives
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting, processes, and data management
  • Managing and improving analytical and financial modelling tools and systems
  • Supporting in‑house database systems to ensure they meet business needs
  • Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring financial disciplines and governance are adhered to

Are you the one?

You’re a commercially minded, analytical professional who enjoys turning complex data into clear insights. You’re comfortable engaging with operational and senior stakeholders, can influence outcomes through evidence‑based analysis, and thrive in fast‑paced, large‑scale environments.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain (highly regarded)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (essential)
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and/or SQL (highly regarded)
  • Strong analytical capability with sound commercial judgement and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse large data sets and present insights to non‑financial stakeholders
  • Proven experience delivering financial and operational reporting
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Exposure to transport, logistics, or last‑mile delivery environments (desirable)
