What does the job look like?

Linfox have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet Allocator to support our Intermodal operations located at Acacia Ridge. This team plays an integral part in coordinating daily vehicle movements to ensure the safe, compliant and efficient pickup and delivery of customer freight. Working closely with drivers, contractors and internal stakeholders, you’ll oversee allocations, bookings, fleet utilisation and safety outcomes.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity with two roster options available:

  • Option 1: Thursday to Monday, including 5:00am – 1:00pm shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with flexible day-shift hours across the remaining weekdays
    OR
  • Option 2: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, with flexibility required to work across morning, afternoon or night shifts when covering scheduled leave within the team
Key areas: 
  • Coordinate and allocate fleet resources to meet operational, commercial and customer requirements
  • Manage bookings, paperwork and delivery documentation to enable accurate service delivery
  • Update job requests in SAP and support operational reporting and KPI data
  • Monitor fleet deployment and utilisation in real time, escalating service or safety issues as required
  • Complete regular yard walks and conduct compliance & safety checks
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service requirements and updates are provided efficiently 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold Linfox’s Vision Zero safety culture

You’ll bring:

  • Prior experience in fleet allocation, transport scheduling or a similar logistics operations role 
  • Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and heavy vehicle compliance
  • Experience coordinating drivers, contractors and fleet resources in real time
  • A strong safety focus aligned to an injury-free workplace
  • Confidence using systems such as SAP, MT Data and sound Excel skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a customer-focused mindset
