What does the job look like?
Are you a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for a balanced, well‑supported environment? With routine servicing and maintenance at the core of the role, and major repairs sent to dealers under warranty, you’ll enjoy working with a modern fleet in a well‑equipped workshop.
This role is based at our WA Service Centre at Perth Airport, working on day shift.
You’ll receive:
$56.65 per hour + plenty of overtime available
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and components
- Carrying out routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune‑ups
- Testing and adjusting mechanical systems post‑repair to ensure performance and safety
- Using diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and verify faults
- Completing vehicle inspections and issuing roadworthy certificates or detailed reports
- Providing on‑site mechanical support for breakdowns when required
- Working with new or near‑new trucks and trailers in a modern workshop environment
Are you the one?

You will bring:
- Mechanical trade qualification and experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals
- HR/HC licence (desirable but not essential)
- Strong time management and scheduling discipline
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A proactive mindset and commitment to safety
