What does the job look like?

This role provides day‑to‑day operational leadership across Linfox’s Perth metropolitan Pick Up and Delivery (PUD) operation, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational KPIs. You’ll oversee transport scheduling, fleet and driver coordination, and subcontractor utilisation in a fast‑paced logistics environment. Key areas:

  • Lead PUD operations to ensure safe, compliant and efficient service delivery across the Perth metropolitan network
  • Ensure all Safety & Compliance requirements are adhered to in line with the operational plan
  • Manage driver coverage to support daily operational requirements and absenteeism
  • Support schedulers in optimising transport network and asset utilisation
  • Maintain safety, fatigue management, training compliance and toolbox engagement

Are you the one?

You are an experienced logistics or transport supervisor who thrives in a high‑volume operational environment and takes a hands‑on approach to safety, planning and people leadership.  You can demonstrate:

  • Experience in a fast‑paced logistics environment in a coordination or supervisory role
  • Strong working knowledge of metropolitan general freight operations
  • Proven capability in transport scheduling, fleet utilisation and driver rostering
  • Experience working with SAP TM in an operational setting (essential)
  • Knowledge of Australian transport regulations, fatigue and safety compliance
  • Exposure to mining or resources customers (highly desirable)
