What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit is seeking an Operations Manager based in Oberon, NSW. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate site activities to ensure a safe, efficient and customer-focused operation. You will service a key customer and ensure that key internal and external stakeholder relationships are well maintained. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday and commencing at 7 am with reasonable overtime included. Key areas include:

  • Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring commitment to Safety, COR and Quality requirements at all times.
  • Operational responsibility with a focus on driving improvement and innovation and organic growth through new customer integration.
  • Effective management and development of direct reports and driver workforce to provide efficiency.
  • Analyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes through resource utilization, route optimization and subcontractor management.
  • Ensure the operation is providing superior service offerings to customers through partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement.

Are you the one?

  • Experience managing within the Road/Rail logistics Industry
  • Familiarity with Interstate/Intrastate transport operations 
  • Ability to confidently lead and develop a high-performance team.
  • Understanding of financial drivers and cost control.
  • Process driven, Analytical and Methodical.
  • Self-driven to achieve and drive outcomes on a daily basis.
