What does the job look like?

We're looking for an experienced Transport Allocator to join our operation in Maddington. Starting at 6:00am Monday to Friday, you'll be at the centre of the operation, coordinating drivers, optimising loads, managing customer expectations, and ensuring freight moves safely and efficiently every day.

This is your opportunity to step into a role where you'll be trusted to make decisions, coordinate resources, build strong customer relationships, and directly impact daily transport performance. Key areas:

• Allocating drivers, vehicles, and freight to maximise fleet utilisation and payload outcomes
  
• Coordinating day-to-day transport schedules across the operation
  
• Monitoring service performance and responding quickly to operational disruptions
  
• Building strong relationships with customers and providing exceptional service
  
• Working closely with drivers to support safe and compliant operations
  
• Coordinating driver training requirements and maintaining competency records
  
• Producing accurate operational reports and supporting weekly reporting activities
  
• Managing leave planning and workforce availability to support operational requirements
  
• Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, service performance, and operational efficiency
  
• Supporting safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and compliance requirements across the business
  
• Assisting the Transport Manager with people, safety, and operational activities as required.

Who We're Looking For

• Previous experience in transport allocation, scheduling, dispatch, or logistics coordination
  
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
  
• The ability to prioritise competing demands under pressure
  
• Confidence communicating with drivers and operational teams
  
• Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving capabilities
  
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
  
• Sound computer literacy with the ability to learn operational systems quickly
  
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
  
• Understanding of transport compliance, fatigue management, or freight operations will be highly regarded
  
• Knowledge of Australian transport regulations, fatigue management, and general freight operations will be highly regarded
