What does the job look like?

The Operations Supervisor is an integral role responsible for the safe and cost-effective management of our Intermodal Road Operations across South Australia. Through effective driver management and a commitment to safety, you will be well positioned to ensure we continue to provide first class service offerings to our valued customers throughout the region.

This role is integrated into all aspects of the road operations, overseeing daily linehaul movements, and coordinating scheduled and routine fleet maintenance activities. This is an opportunity to make your mark at Linfox, working in a collaborative and supportive environment with industry leading supply chain professionals. Key areas:

  • Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring commitment to Safety, COR and Quality requirements
  • Effective allocation of resources and management of drivers and subcontracting partners
  • Oversee scheduled maintenance activities and ongoing review of assets against schedule
  • Ensure the SA Intermodal Operations provides superior customer service offerings
  • Complete regular yard walks, conduct spot checks on driver tasks including coupling checks, oversee MT Data compliance for tasks such as pre-start checks and fatigue compliance

Are you the one?

To be successful in this role, you have a collaborative approach to your leadership style. You are supportive but comfortable having difficult conversations and can think on your feet to solve problems quickly and efficiently. You can demonstrate:

  • Experience in a supervisory role within road/rail transport operations
  • High regard for safe working practices, understanding of COR and Heavy Vehicle Compliance
  • Experience with Transport Management Systems, SAP and ms office
  • Ability to develop and achieve operational and contractual KPI’s
  • Self-driven and ability to confidently lead to achieve outcomes
