What does the job look like?

Are you a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for your next career move? At Linfox, we offer more than just jobs – we build careers. With a focus on servicing and maintenance, and major issues referred back to dealers for warranty work, you'll enjoy a streamlined and rewarding role in a modern fleet environment. Key areas:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers , such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle performance and meet emissions standards
  • Test and adjust mechanical systems post-repair to verify proper operation and reliability
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and test vehicle parts effectively
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and issue roadworthy certificates or provide detailed reports on required repairs
  • Respond to breakdowns by providing on-site mechanical support as needed
  • Work on New or Near new trucks and trailers.

Are you the one?

We're looking for passionate and skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team. If you take pride in your work and believe in delivering to high standards, then this role is for you. You can demonstrate:

  • Mechanical Trade qualification and experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is essential
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals
  • HR/HC licence is desirable but not essential
  • The ability to work to schedules with strong time management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proactive approach and positive attitude
