What does the job look like?

Earn up to $160,000 per year including overtime, working Monday to Friday in Emerald, without FIFO or rotating rosters.

This permanent full‑time HC Truck Driver / Forklift Operator role is based at our Emerald terminal, supporting mining customers across the southern Bowen Basin. You will start early at 5:00am, enjoy clear runs, and work in a safety‑first operation where standards are clear and support is strong. You will split your time between driving and forklift work, keeping freight moving accurately, safely, and on schedule. Key areas: 

• Load, unload, and secure freight using dogs and chains, straps, and binders, double-checking restraints.
  
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently, taking care with mixed freight and mine-site critical materials.
  
• Deliver freight to mine sites and follow each site’s safety and access requirements.
  
• Apply safety standards consistently, including CoR and NHVR fatigue rules.
  
• Keep customers updated with clear, courteous communication and represent Linfox with professionalism.

Are you the one?

You are an experienced and conscientious operator who takes pride in your excellent driving record and safe work history. You'll bring:

• A current and valid HC license
• LF forklift licence or willing to obtain one
• Strong load restraint skills suited to mining freight
  
• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR fatigue, and road transport regulations
  
• Confident, respectful customer service — you’re the face of Linfox on the road
