What does the job look like?

Linfox's Intermodal business unit have an opportunity for a Fleet Allocator to join our Victorian Road team. In your new role, you'll partner with our internal teams and our sub-contractor network to coordinate daily freight movements, manage real-time allocations and bookings to ensure freight is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with customer expectations. 
 
This is a full-time permanent opportunity located at our Laverton North site working Monday - Friday either from 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm. Key areas:
  • Allocate freight and coordinate fleet movements across subcontractors and company drivers
  • Manage bookings within customer portals and secure capacity to meet service requirements
  • Communicate with drivers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure alignment on daily operations
  • Maintain accurate job, load and allocation data to support transport systems and KPI reporting
  • Resolve service issues and escalations, including changes to prior day allocations
  • Monitor safety compliance activities including yard checks and coupling/uncoupling KPIs

You are a proactive and detail-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and brings a strong sense of urgency to supporting service delivery. You can demonstrate:
  • Prior experience within a similar operational role within the Transport/Logistics industry 
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including our sub-contractor network and internal teams
  • Curiosity to identify improvements and contribute to process and operational initiatives
  • Confidence using transport systems to manage bookings, allocation data and workflows
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, with an eye for attention to detail and excellent time management 
  • You have a strong commitment to drive operational safety and compliance across our business
