About the Role

Looking to take the next step in your fashion retail career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance? Portmans Harbourtown DFO is on the hunt for a Part-Time Assistant Store Manager (28 hours per week) to join our passionate and driven team.

As part of The Just Group – home to iconic brands including Jay Jays, Jacqui E, Just Jeans, and Dotti – Portmans offers a supportive, fashion-forward work environment with a loyal customer base and exciting development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and creating an exceptional in-store experience.

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to elevate performance and engagement.

  • Oversee daily store operations including stock control, visual merchandising, and presentation.

  • Step into the Store Manager’s role when required (open/close store, manage team, etc.).

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a fashion retail leadership role (Assistant Manager, Keyholder, Supervisor)

  • Confidence in coaching and giving constructive feedback.

  • A passion for fashion and customer service excellence.

  • Awareness of loss prevention and health & safety procedures.

  • Visual merchandising experience is a bonus!
