About the Role 
We are currently seeking a creative and enthusiastic entry level Junior Designer (internally known as Graphic Designer) to join the Portmans team. In this role you will work closely with the Senior Designer and Product Team who will assist you to develop into the next phase of your career in fashion.  Responsibilities include the building of story boards and colour palettes as directed by the Head of Product, preparing and adjusting studio artworks for supplier briefing and producing CADs of our product ranges.  Attention to detail and great communication are key to your success in this exciting new role.
Responsibilities 
Collaborate with the Senior Designer to build physical and digital story boards, including prints and colour palettes, to support the Product team. 
As directed, adjust purchased artworks for colour, scale and design, in order to brief to factories for production.    
Produce CADs of product ranges and trend boards for meetings and presentations as directed by the Buying teams. 
Maintain the print & colour standards library, including updating, labelling and archiving artworks. 
Assist Senior Designer in the development of trend direction documents at key times in the season.   
Continually research catwalk and local market trends for colour, print and silhouette inspiration to share with the product team.  
 
Skills & Experience 
Sound knowledge in working with Mac, Photoshop and Illustrator    
Graphic/textile design experience within a fashion retailer is highly desirable 
Strong digital yardage and placement print execution is advantageous 
Attention to detail, time management and communication skills are an absolute must  
Energetic and motivated, eager to thrive in a creative and collaborative environment
