About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant on a 12 month fixed-term basis, to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis aligned to business priorities and needs. This is an exciting role in a true business partnering role in a Finance Team providing commercial support to assist the Company’s Senior Executives deliver their global strategic plans – a rare opportunity to gain such exposure within an Australian company.
Reporting to the General Manager Finance - Retail and working as a key member of the management accounting team, the successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to, the following key responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly results against budget, projections and other key benchmarks and presenting outcomes to stakeholders
- Preparing updated financial forecasts on a monthly basis
- Preparing seasonal and annual budgets
- Preparing general ledger journals and balance sheet reconciliations at month end
- Assisting key senior executives with proactive analysis delivering insights to drive profit growth
- Other strategic analysis as required by the Finance Manager and other senior finance team, including the CFO
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA qualified (or studying towards qualification) with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience and able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Analytically focused with the ability to methodically work through commercial business challenges and opportunities
- Confidence in dealing with a wide range of retail professionals and senior executives
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to a broad range of financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively within a team
- Continuously improve procedures, systems and activities to deliver best in class results
- Strong Excel skills, with TM1 experience an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Retail experience is an advantage but not essential
