About the Role

As the P&C Employee Relations Business Partner, you will provide strong HR generalist support to the Retail Leadership team across our extensive network of retail stores.

Reporting to the Head of P&C – Retail, you will work as part of the broader People & Culture Team, coaching and guiding performance management matters with retail line managers and subject matter experts where required (such as Health & Safety, Retail Operations and other support functions).

A key aspect of this role is to provide accurate and timely advice and support on various matters, ranging from generalist support to complex employee relations matters, ensuring best practice and compliance with the relevant industrial instruments, and alignment to company policies, procedures and our cultural framework.

You will also assist in managing P&C and Retail led people projects and actively participate in team development initiatives, including facilitation of Annual Compliance and HR Training programs.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive business partnering experience and ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Ability to analyse operational matters to provide innovative solutions to business matters
  • Strong background and knowledge in the interpretation of employment legislation, industrial awards/agreements, and Enterprise Bargaining
  • Ability to identify and advise on required changes to policies, procedures or practices brought about by changes to legislation and support with implementation and change management where required
  • Ability to interact with relevant regulatory bodies like the Fair Work Commission and unions
  • Ability to contribute to the development and delivery of Employment Relations strategies, systems, policies and processes
  • Effectively lead, and provide mentoring and ongoing education and development to Retail Leaders and the broader People & Culture team
  • Experience in team leadership is ideal but not required if you have the skills and willingness to elevate
  • High energy and enthusiasm to make a positive change within a fast-paced and diverse environment
