About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager – Inventory, the Inventory Supervisor will have the opportunity to become a leader and key member within our Warehouse Operations. Our dynamic and passionate team rely on the Inventory Supervisor to problem solve and ensure integrity of our products, so we can provide exceptional service and quality to our customers. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong focus on integrity, communication, inventory management and will ultimately be a positive addition to our culture. This role is a full time, 12 month fixed term position, based at our DC in Truganina.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with customers, either directly or through direct reports to ensure customer service expectations are being met through feedback processes
  • Facilitate the safety culture within the business and review and investigate all incidents
  • Escalate to management significant issues such as stock outs and lack of process compliance
  • Suggest corrective measures to contain and prevent future re-occurrences of stock issues
  • Drive down inventory shrinkage by improving processes
  • Investigating and reconciling Inventory Discrepancies and maintaining and improving inventory accuracy
  • Completing stock take and cycle counts
  • Proactively managing all inventory related issues
  • Reporting on results and preparing reports for calculating usage and reconciliation reports

Skills & Experience 

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations and management in retail logistics of FMCG environments
  • Ability to lead a team to continuously improve its performance and establish processes for good team work
  • Knowledge of Manhattan WMS would be advantages
  • High demonstrated levels of numeracy, literacy and analytical capability
  • Intermediate (or above) MS office skills
  • Process improvement and documentation experience
  • Qualifications in Warehousing/Inventory Management, while not essential, will be well regarded
  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar inventory related position
