About the Role:

Aurizon Bulk West is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated Day Roster Officer to join our Bulk West Team in Welshpool. This role is offered on a 3-day job share basis, with flexible start times to suit your family schedule. As a Day Roster Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining effective rosters, crew deployment, and operational systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources for scheduled services based on operational requirements.
  • Service Plan Management: Assist with managing changes to service plans, asset loading, and resource allocations. Address customer requirements and impacts of major disruptions.
  • Roster Management: Ensure safety-compliant crew rosters are accurate, entered into systems, and maintained to meet operational needs.
  • Crew Deployment: Place competent operational employees on rosters and monitor their deployment to meet operational demands.
  • Fatigue Management: Monitor fatigue management in line with rostering principles.
  • Customer Service Support: Aid the deployment team by handling phone calls and administrative tasks to provide excellent customer service.
  • Train List Information: Provide accurate and timely train list information to customers.

About You:

  • System Proficiency: Ability to effectively use roster, crew allocation, train running, and fatigue management systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver results.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to identify operational issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills and excellent time management.
  • Industrial Instruments: Experience with interpreting relevant Industrial Instruments such as Enterprise Agreements.
  • Communication: High-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with employees and customers.
