Aurizon has an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader in heavy industry warehouse, based in Jilalan. 

Location: Sarina (Jilalan)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to provide frontline leadership to the warehouse team directing and organizing the daily service plan.  You will work collaboratively with other departments to enable the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of trains to our customers.  This role will see you champion a safety and leadership culture which promotes, creates and maintains a safe environment for our employees. 

About the role:

• Lead a team of permanent and contractor warehouse operators
• Set, track and review team targets and due dates
• Input into the teams planning process and identify opportunities for improvement
• Manage storage facilities and stock rotation
• Setting and monitoring of performance standards and behavioural standards to build a high-performance team. 
• Work in collaboration with our maintenance and procurement teams to ensure consumables are available
• Manage performance and disciplinary matters if required
• Take accountability for incident investigations within the area of responsibility and conduct detailed investigation reports

About you: 

• 3+ years experience in a leadership role ideally in a Supply Chain/Warehouse environment
• Sound SAP knowledge
• Able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and influence employees to make sound safe choices
• Demonstrated frontline leadership capability including task assignment, problem solving and performance management
• An ability to demonstrate your effectiveness at engaging team members, establishing and sustaining relationships & setting of clear direction
• You will be highly organised and be able to prioritise conflicting tasks ensuring the best outcomes for the business
