About the role:
This role will be responsible for the efficient running of the depot store by providing material requirements to ensure the safe and efficient running of Aurizon’s rollingstock. The successful applicant will be required to perform general warehouse operation duties and maintain warehouse security at all times. Additionally, the applicant should be capable of thinking both logically and methodically, striving for continuous improvement, and maintaining a strong focus on safe work practices.
- Working Monday to Friday (38 hour week)
- Performing routine inventory management processes, receiving, and dispatching stock and daily site operations
- Build, assemble and supply maintenance kits & picks as required.
- Provide excellent service to various customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct internal and vendor held stocktaking, inclusive of cycle counts.
- Identification and rectification of catalogue and supply faults
- Assist with the maintenance of warehouse security, safe operating conditions, and general housekeeping.
- Operating a forklift to safely load, secure and unload materials for delivery vehicles and the use of an internal high reach forklift.
About you:
Technical capabilities/qualifications
- National C Class Driver's License (Mandatory).
- High Risk Work class LF License (Mandatory).
- Appropriate experience working in Warehousing (Minimum 3 years preferred).
- Relevant training in the use of Warehouse modules.
- Internal Isolation Lockout Training (Mandatory).
- Commitment to additional safety training and awareness packages including Dangerous Goods, Load restraint and Chain of Responsibility.
Specific Skills:
- Ability to work with limited supervision and good communication skills.
- SAP knowledge in Materials Management (Mandatory)
- Strong understanding of policies and procedures.
- Basic Microsoft Suite capability including Outlook, Excel and Word.
